| About Us Lackey Auctioneers have been in business for more than 50 years. Herman Lackey, the founder of our company, was a Stetson wearing, cigar chewing, banjo playing, gregarious, entrepreneur, who built a small auction business in a tiny town in south central Canada into a company that annually handles thousands of transactions between buyers and sellers across the country and internationally. Herman was joined in 1979 by his son, Kevin, and together they continued to innovate and expand their auction business to include real estate auction, online auction advertising, online absentee (proxy) bidding at live auctions. Lackey Auctioneers early recognition of the value of the internet to serve their customers has naturally led us to offer our new online auction. Our goal in offering auction online is to bring the same principles of honesty, trust, innovation and customer service to the internet, that has made our live auction business so successful. Our Staff Kevin Lackey - President Kevin lives and breathes auctions, the only son of founder Herman Lackey he first took the gavel as a teenager in 1979 and has never looked back. In addition to being a certified appraiser and real estate broker, Kevin is an avid golfer, an old school skateboarder, X-country skier, harmonica player and a hopelessly devoted Dad. Qualifications of Kevin Lackey (the boring details) ... Auctioneer Kevin is a graduate of the Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, Montana, director and past president of the Saskatchewan Auctioneers Association. Kevin has managed and conducted more than eleven hundred auctions of all types including: real estate (farmland, residential and commercial), farm equipment, business, liquidation, industrial equipment, livestock, general antiques, antique vehicles, antique furniture, jewellery, art work, aircraft, you name it. Kevin has a special interest and expertise in farm equipment, antiques and real estate auctions. Appraiser Kevin is a graduate of the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Guild examination and a member in good standing with the guild. He has completed hundreds of appraisals of most every type of equipment and commodity including: residential properties, farmland, farm equipment, acreages, antiques, furniture, vehicles and all types of personal property. He appraises regularly for the Credit Union, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Scotia Bank, City of Weyburn, Radville Credit Union, Toronto Dominion Bank and various law firms throughout the province. In addition, Kevin has been called and accepted as an expert witness in the Court of Queens Bench. Real Estate Broker Kevin is a member of S.R.E.A. and C.R.E.A., a director and past president of Weyburn Real Estate Board. He graduated from Real Estate 100, 200, and 300 courses and is a holder of Broker designation. Kevin has been active as a licensed Real Estate salesman for the past sixteen years, acting as broker for the last fifteen years. Mary Lackey - Vice President - Marketing and Customer Relations Mary’s is most likely the first voice you will hear when you call Lackey Auctioneers. Don’t let her calm quiet voice fool you, Mary does more selling than any of the loud auctioneers in her family. Mary brings many years of experience in advertising in all types of media to the internet auction. Her talent for creating ads that get noticed bring your auction to the top of the pile in the busy world of online auction. Mary is an avid golfer, a hardcore green thumb, a pianist and is learning guitar. Elizabeth Lackey - Super Girl Elizabeth,15, is our only teen on staff. Elizabeth has an artistic flair, an acute sense of fashion and loves to draw, paint and doodle on the computer. Her main job is to keep the dinasaurs from regressing. We at Lackey Auctions are pleased to have a staff comprised of individuals who believe in and follow Jesus Christ. We endeavor to employ the principles Christ taught in our buisness as well as our personal lives. Winston Bailey-Auctioneer and Real Estate Salesman.
